What is the real value in Home Watch?
During our inspections, our goal is to catch any issues before they become a major problem. If your toilet is going to leak, it’s going to leak. And there’s not anything that we can do to stop it from leaking. But what we can do is limit the scale of the problem that it becomes.
It’s kind of like a Band-Aid. If you scratch your finger, you’re going to put a Band-Aid on it and it’s really going to begin to heal. But if you ignore it and you get all kinds of dirt and food in this cut on your finger, it’s going to get infected. You’re going to go to the hospital and they’re going to want to cut off your finger.
If your kitchen sink begins to leak, that’s something that we’re going to catch. And hopefully before it becomes a major issue, that start begins to damage the cabinet. But if it goes months on end, you may come back to spend the winter here and all of a sudden you’re dealing with a full kitchen remodel because that sink ran all summer and damaged all the cabinets in your kitchen.
