What are the main differences between hiring a professional home watcher and asking your neighbor to help keep an eye on your house?
As home watch professionals, we arrive at your property with intention. We have a detailed checklist that we know we have to follow. As we do our rounds through your property, we’ll be visiting your property on a consistent schedule.
We’ll let you know what days we’re going by and we’ll stick true to that schedule. We are a professional home watch service and you’re paying us to go and check on your property. So we’re going to do that with intention. There’s a feeling of responsibility on our part because we’re being paid that we have to do a thorough job.
We’ll also be visiting on a consistent schedule. That way you’ll know what days we’re going by. And it’s not just, Oh, hey, I need to get by the Smith’s house this week and check on things. Now, we put you on our schedule and we’ll be there on those days. One thing that we’ve learned with having a neighbor check on a home is ultimately that neighbor is doing you a favor.
Something came up and that Wednesday turned into Saturday and all of a sudden two weeks turns into three weeks and that last month turns into a month or turns into a month in between visits. Begin to believe that nothing’s going to happen. So it doesn’t matter that they aren’t going by your house consistently.
